A drop of 6.1% y/y was registered in April. Prices of metals dropped by more than 26% this year.
The index of wholesale prices on the domestic market in April this year dropped by 2.3% y/y. In the processing industry there was a drop of 9.7% y/y, whereas the increase in terms of production and distribution of electric power and gas totaled 18.9%. There was a drop in the production of basic metals (26.4%), food production (5.1%), production of plastics (2.9%), computer equipment manufacturing and electronic and optic production (2.2%). Production of drinks marked an increase of 11.9%, as did chemical products (9.5%) and metal production (excluding machinery and equipment) - 8.6%. The processing industry marked a drop in April this year of 11.0% y/y, whereas the increase in terms of production and distribution of electric power and gas totaled 14.7%. The processing industry (production of basic metals) marked a dramatic drop of 30.5%.
