In a joint operation police and prosecutors converged on the Agriculture State Fund (ASF). It began this morning. The ASF building has been taped off.
Prosecutor Bozhidar Djambazov did not confirm to frognews.bg that the action was inspired by a signal from the new leadership of the fund (since September 2009) in relation to charges of conflict of interest against six officials at the fund.
"Due to the fact that we continue to work on the case I can only say that the operation is based on evidence we received from the National security agency (DANS), which they acquired during an earlier investigation," said Djambazov to our website. At this stage the prosecution refused to provide more information and is expected to publicize more details shortly.

"This operation is organized mainly by the prosecution, so we do not have much information,” MI officials told frognews.bg.
