Abadjiev was invited to head the “Nabucco” project for Bulgaria by PM Borissov

“I do not know what Aleksey Petrov’s interests in politics were, but he certainly had connections with the conservative political party Order, Lawfulness, Justice (OLJ). I have seen him in the company of OLJ leader Yane Yanev, and this fact should not be neglected,” OLJ former deputy chairman Dimitar Abadjiev said in an interview with bTV.
“I left the party after Aleksey Petrov was arrested, because I had no clue that he had been shadowed by the security services,” he added.
Abadjiev also said he first met Petrov at a meeting of the OLJ leadership.
“I do not know if he was among the party’s sponsors,” he added.
Mr. Abadjiev went on to say that he had been nominated for a Bulgarian representative in the international company managing the Nabucco pipeline project. To his words, PM Boyko Borissov discussed the issue with him two or three weeks ago.
”My decision to walk out of the OLJ party has nothing to do with this nomination,” Abadjiev said.
To his words, OLJ had declared war against the ruling political Party, GERB, in which he did not want to participate.
