Teodosi Spasov was the first to play jazz on a wooden flute. All his music is based on a magical synthesis of jazz, classical music and traditional Bulgarian folk music. He has played with famous Bulgarian and foreign musicians such as Milcho Leviev, Yeldaz Ibrahimova, D. Liebmann and Indian percussionist Trilok Gurtu’s group. Apart from concerts he does soundtracks and theater songs. He has released over 20 albums. Among his many awards is “Musician of the Year” in 1997 and 2002 and the award of the International Academy of Arts in Paris in 1996.
