The prestigious “March Days of Music” festival opens today in Rousse and will run until March 29. The Rousse Philharmonic and “Danube Sounds” choir will open the event. Performers include the Sofia Philharmonic with Japanese violin solo Yasushi Idewe and the Chamber Orchestra of Dobrich with violin guest solo Chuanuyn from China. The ensembles featured include “Lissy” European keyboard quartet from Austria, “Quint Essential” Baroque music ensemble and “Chillingirian” String Quartet with guest pianist Sarkis Zakarian, “Arditi” String Quartet from the UK and more. Classical music fans will delight in the performances of Jose Luiz Barretto and Argentinean tango orchestra Tangissimo as well as a jazz night with Milcho Leviev. The “March Days of Music” festival is among the most prestigious cultural forums in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1961.
